The activation of UAN is very important to get the benefits of Epfo Online Portal. Employees can not check their PF balance without activation of UAN. Employees get their UAN password on the registered mobile no. of UAN after activation. Employees cannot login on the Epfo portal without password so UAN must be Activated.
If you have not your UAN no. Then please check my previous post on blog to generate your UAN by Adhaar card or pan card.
If you have your UAN and you want to activate your UAN then kindly follow the steps below..
Step 1. Go on the website of Epfo https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/
Step 2. You will get the button "Activate your UAN" on the site as image mentioned below.
Step 3. You will get page like mention below....
Here, you will enter your UAN number, Name, Date of birth, mobile number, email (optional) and fill the captcha then click on button "Get authorization Pin".
Step 4. You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number. Fill your otp and validate it.
Your UAN will be activate and you will receive a confirmation sms on your registered mobile number. In the sms you will get your UAN number and UAN password for login on Epfo online portal. You can change your password after login in Epfo portal.
Your PF passbook will be available after 8 hour of UAN activation so you can check your PF passbook as well by login your credentials.
