"Date of Exit"
If we join any organisation or any Limited company then we get our joining letter with joining date. We can see our "Date of joining" in our Epfo account also. When we leave or resign the job then "Date of Exit" should be also update in our Epfo account. "Date of exit" is very important for every employee but there are many cases where "Date of exit" does not available in Epfo services history.
Importance of "Date of Exit"
"Date of exit" is very important for all employees who work in any organisation. The time between "Date of joining" and "Date of Exit" shows our work experience in company or organisation. We can not withdrawal our pension amount and Final PF settlement amount without "Date of Exit". The date when we have left the job thats our "Date of Exit". If you have left the job still you are unable to withdrawal your pension or final pf settlement it means your "Date of Exit" is not available in "service history" of Epfo.
You can contact your employer to update your Date of Exit or you can update by online process as well.
If you want to update your "Date of Exit" online then Please follow the process below..
Step 1. Go on the Epfo website https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface/
Step 2. Login your account with your credentials (UAN and UAN password)
Step 3. You will see Manage button on dashboard then just click and choose "Mark Exit" as mentioned image below.
Step 4. Select your employment as mentioned image below.
Step 5. Enter you "Date of Exit" when you left the job then Re-enter the "Date of Exit" and select any suitable reason of Exit.
Tick on the box that you have read the below points carefully and click on the Request OTP.
You will receive an OTP on your Aadhaar's registered mobile no. then enter your OTP and confirm it.
Your "Date of Exit" will be update and now you can withdrawal your pension and PF final settlement.
